The Data Technology Act 2000 regulates cyber activities in India does not mention the word Gambling or Betting thereby the act was left for interpretation by the Courts which have refused to examine the matter. Maine’s bill would have allowed for full mobile betting throughout the state, and give operators the alternative to be on-line-only (which means FanDuel, for example, would not have to attach itself to a land-based casino to operate a mobile product inside the state).
