Remove the rolls from the water oven, gently switch them to a serving platter, and drizzle liberally with the Avgolemono Sauce. In a bowl, season the bottom pork with salt and pepper. Add the cooked rice, beaten eggs, dill, and olive oil and knead to combine totally.

Place head of cabbage in freezer overnight. Remove next day and permit to thaw.

In a large bowl mix together floor beef, cooked rice, chopped onion and shredded carrot. To serve, gently transfer the cabbage rolls to a serving dish using a slotted spoon.

Drizzle oil on top of the rolls. Place a couple of giant stuffed cabbage egyptian leaves on high of the cabbage rolls.

This Cabbage Rolls recipe makes small rolls, which is about 6 generous servings. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil over excessive heat. Boil cabbage leaves for 2 minutes.

Cut out the stem with a protracted knife; wrap the cabbage with plastic wrap and microwave for about three-four minutes. You need the leaves to be softened however not cooked via.

Using a large fork keep removing the leaves one after the other as soon as they’re soft and pliable till all leaves are eliminated. Repeat the process till all leaves are removed. Add 1 shredded carrot, stir, cover with lid and over low warmth continue cooking, mixing several occasions all through, for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, remove the core of the cabbage, then remove a few outer leaves and discard. Add the cabbage to the boiling water and rotate it to keep it submerged to assist soften the leaves from all sides.
