Tags :

Full frame of lightly roasted coffee beansGet excited…
I just won my first baking competition! Jumping for joy!
The contest was for Nordic Ware where you’d to use a Bundt Pan and bake a thing that represented heritage and tradition. The grand reward winner reaches go to NYC and seat tickets to the Martha Stewart show for Bundt Pan week! I learn next week, therefore I’ll maintain you posted.
I won having a Chocolate-Coconut and Pumpkin Marble Bundt Cake. I topped it with chocolate and toasted coconut. It had been incredibly delicious and damp. You can view it here.
Don’t be concerned, I’ll post the recipe here eventually.
It’s been Pumpkin mania in my house.
Pumpkin Pop tarts? Yes, please!
Pop tarts were the very best breakfast once you were a youngster. I always had mine warm and toasted. A genuine sugars high before school, but always a favorite.
Pop tarts that flavor like pumpkin pie… You know I’m obsessed.
They’re actually quite easy to create too! I used a basic pie dough formula to make the outside crust.
I QUICKLY mixed together a little pumpkin, cream cheese, brown sugars, and spices.
I spread a little onto the dough.
I topped with more pie dough and seal the edges using a fork.
Of course, poking the center for ventilation is essential and cute!
These lovelies were brushed with a small melted butter. I stared at how beautiful they were for quite sometime.
Baking time!
The house smelt like pastries and pumpkin pie. They came out gorgeously golden dark brown.
Now who could forget the best part?
Maple Cream Cheese frosting! Oh heaven, this was good drizzled at the top.
I decided these were as well sugary for me personally at breakfast time. They simply screamed dessert.
Arctic No had sent me a pint of Pumpkin Spice Snow Cream that paired perfectly with my warm Pumpkin Pop Tart.
I had been surprised at how healthy this was. 150 calories for your pint!
It’s not actually snow cream but similar to a frozen protein shake. Tastes exactly like snow cream though and it’s gluten-free. They will have a great selection of flavors to choose from. I like peanut butter chocolate flavor A WHOLE LOT. Strawberry was fabulous too. You’ve gotta try this stuff!
Can get on the pumpkin bandwagon and produce these!
Pumpkin Cream Mozzarella cheese Pop Tarts
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, chilly, trim into cubes
1 large egg
2 tablespoons milk
For the Pumpkin-Cream Cheese filling:
3/4 cup pureed pumpkin
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Maple Cream Cheese Glaze:
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
Dash of cinnamon
In a medium dish, whisk flour, cinnamon, sugars and salt collectively. Devote a food processor chip and add the cubed frosty butter. Pulse until it resembles small peas.
In a separate normal size bowl, beat the egg using the milk. Add the egg blend to the meals processor using the dough. Pulse until simply mixed. Pass on some flour on a surface area and knead the dough until it comes together well. Divide into two balls, cover in plastic, and place in refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes.
While dough is chilling, line 2 – 9×13 baking pans with parchment paper and pre warmth oven to 350 levels F.
In medium bowl mix pumpkin, cream cheese, dark brown sugar, egg, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon collectively. Place in refrigerator.
Get out your dough and on a well floured surface, roll out to on the subject of 1/8 thickness. Cut dough with pastry cutter, or a pizza cutter will work. You can trim your dough in 3×5 in . rectangles. You should be able to roll out about 9 rectangles. Then put on parchment paper.
Next you can move out the second little bit of dough and cut the same way. Brush one part of 9 rectangles with either melted butter or beaten egg- this can help hold together the very best level of dough. Take out your pumpkin-cream cheese mix from your refrigerator and place 1 tablespoon of mix onto each brushed dough rectangle. Top with another little bit of tough and work with a fork to seal the sides and poke three openings at the top to vent. Brush with melted butter.
Bake for approximately 20 – 25 moments or until the top is golden brown. Cool on wire rack.
Once pop tarts are pretty cool, mix jointly cream parmesan cheese, maple syrup and cinnamon in a little microwavable dish. Microwave on high for 20 seconds. Stir until creamy and drizzle together with pop tarts.
Serve immediately while glaze and pop tarts are still warm.

Beauty Favorites: skin care products I love + my anti-aging routine

Tags :

Hi. I feel like we haven’t chatted in permanently. So grab a sit down elsewhere and let’s sit down like friends and capture up a bit. There are always a million-gazillion beauty things that I’ve been dropping deeply in love with recently. And for some reason, writing for you feels like informing a good friend about all of them. Therefore here we go… this might be a lengthy one!
Over Christmas week I turned 26 and suddenly became Enthusiastic about all things beauty. Actually, I now work at home and have no reason to put on make-up or in fact wear nice clothing. However, I have been craving date nights and putting on just a little blush and lipstick after my workout routines, thus in order to build my beauty collection up, I have already been shopping on Amazon WAY too much for my own good. I bought this red lipstick
and it’s my favorite ever. The color is certainly gorgeous and I really like that it offers a little bit of SPF. Yep, obsessed
Second obsession involves mascara. I normally use Clinique mascara, but made a decision to change it up and am today devoted to It’s so BIG mascara
by Elizabeth Moss. The best in all the planet, and on top of that it generally does not smudge! But remarkably is fairly easy to remove.
Lastly, I started an anti-aging beauty routine because hello I’m 26. SO OLD. Simply kidding, it’s similar to I’d rather begin taking care of my skin now rather than later. Plus I enjoy getting carded once i purchase alcoholic beverages. For my eye, I really like Oz Naturals Eyesight Gel
; it gets rid of the puffiness each day and is completely the softest factor on earth. Actually to be honest, I’m quite obsessed with everything that Oz Naturals creates. Their products are INCREDIBLE.
That being said, OZ Naturals Retinol Serum is one more thing I cannot live without. It contains 2.5% retinol, which if you aren’t familiar, is pretty high. This products also contains a distinctive antioxidant known as Astaxanthin; I’m a huge fan! My skin always looks clean and glowing after by using this. You can actually get the products for a great price on Amazon . com and they appear to last several months for me personally.
For nighttime I love an excellent moisturizer because winters suck the life away from my skin (especially in Chicago). There are two anti-aging moisturizers which i very much like. First may be the Clinique Youngsters Surge Night Age Decelerating Moisturizer
; it’s not greasy or greasy and leaves my skin super soft and smooth in the mornings. Sometimes if my epidermis is super dried out I will actually use it under my make-up. Another nighttime moisturizer I love is the Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Nutrient Enriched Oil-Free Renewal Cream This product smells great and is more of a dense moisturizer in comparison to Clinique’s; I use the Origins Cream when I feel like my pores and skin really needs a great soak. On top of that it last me for at least six months, therefore i find that it really is worth the price.
For face wash, I just buy my stuff from Target because I found two that worked for me personally in the past: Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub and St Ives Refreshing Skin Apricot Scrub They’re inexpensive and get the job done of cleaning my skin and eliminating the lifeless cells. I use the apricot scrub 2-3x weekly as well as the Aveeno everyday.
For my own body, I have a routine. Although I shower almost everyday, I really do love to consider detox baths; they’re relaxing and can assist you to come down from a demanding day or a hard exercise session. Some tips about what I typically perform: I add 1/4 glass of coconut essential oil to my shower + 1 cup of epsom salt + several drops of lavender oil and sometimes a sprinkle of cooking soda. I understand the baking soda pop part seems weird, however it helps your skin to remain extremely soft and actually detoxes your skin. Check out these awesome uses for cooking soda over on the Huffington Post.
During my shower, I’ll often placed on a nose and mouth mask. My overall favorite is the Yes To Carrots Softening Facial Mask
It leaves my skin incredibly gentle and easy; I only utilize it once a week.
Oh and of course, I can’t fail to mention the best body scrub
Loved these tips!
I’ve obtained into everything beauty recently as well! A lot of amazing skincare products available now.
I just recently got a Clarisonic Mia and am loving it up to now! I likewise have an Oz Naturals serum that is pretty high in Vitamin C, which is ideal for brightening. I also like First Aid Beauty Ultra Fix Cream for dried out, cracked cheeks! For exfoliators, I love Contemporary Friction by Roots. Lastly, everything within the Dermalogica line is definitely genius. I specifically like their pores and skin resurfacing cleanser and mask.
1. Wash face with Aveeno or Apricot scrub.
2. I use serum then use Rose Hip Seed Oil or a moisturizer.
3. Put on make-up!

Do you ever have those days where you should do nothing at all, yet you might have a to-do list that you can’t wrap the human brain around?

That’s me now. Stuck in an instant of laziness slash rest.
It feels good to stop the noise for a moment and permit my mind actually think. Happy thoughts of soup.
Tomorrow appears like a better day to get things done anyways, ideal?
Today is an excellent day for movie watching or perhaps a fall bicycle ride. Better still for carving ridiculous factors into pumpkins. Significantly, who started carving pumpkins in any case?
Sticking a knife in a vegetable and carving faces in it really is totally random.
What could you do if I asked you to carve an apple? Not really normal.
My love for soup probably isn’t normal either. I love it a lot more than chocolate. Chocolate Soup will be good.
If we were really good friends, you’d know soup is the best. Tomato, bean, tortilla, carrot ginger – I’ll take them all!
I’d probably constantly order soup and a salad at supper with you. Along with a skinny margarita.
But if we were simply hanging, I’d help to make some sexy homemade soup for my friends. With cuban spices, cilantro, tomatoes and garlic clove. You’d love it. You’d want to be BFFs.
I’m letting you know crock pots are in!
Homemade soup just can’t be beat. Specifically sexy soup like this! Yes, you go through that correct, this soup is totally sizzling.
Comforting Spicy Caribbean Dark Bean Soup. Simply sounds sexy!
Warms your spirit, and slims the body. Double yes!
Make this. You will be hot.
Is the mouth area watering yet? Don’t deny the soup like!

There are several things that come to my mind when considering chocolate.

Tags :

Like my favorite candy bar. Or that delicious delicious chocolate frosting which i licked off a cupcake the other day (it was too dang good!). Also, how sometimes it will save me on a bad day.
For me personally, eating chocolate is like falling in love; it offers me a joy that can’t be explained.
Needless to say since I am borderline enthusiastic about sugary and salty pairings, the ocean Salt Soiree completely blew my mind. I can just explain that consuming it is an experience that you can’t miss out on. I felt like I used to be floating in a few sort of euphoric dream.
We broke the bar into little pieces and ate raspberries in between each bite – was it simple? Yes. Nonetheless it was sugary and tart, after that savory and salty and intense. Mostly it had been just perfection in a bite.
The Intense Dark Toffee Interlude made taking in my coffee taste heavenly and a bit like caramel. The delicious chocolate itself was lovely and crunchy with little bits of almond.
Could you imagine it having a Chai Tea?! Simply too dang great.
Finally we enjoyed the Hazelnut Heaven CHOCOLATES, which I need to say will be fantastic with cheese. Now it may seem that combination is certainly weird, but could you imagine it melted on a crusty piece of breads with roasted strawberries and brie parmesan cheese? Um yes… HAZELNUT HEAVEN is absolutely right!
Ugh. I need to savor chocolates moments more often.
My new preferred is making s’mores with Ghirardelli Intense CHOCOLATES squares. Creamy marshmallow with nice, unique chocolate along with a crunchy graham cracker. I can’t get enough!
How about you? What’s your preferred chocolate pairing?

A couple weeks ago I had formed the opportunity to go to Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico to experience the Ranch’s phenomenal environment, food, fitness, walking, spa, classes and so much more!

Tags :

It came at the same time while i was feeling a little desperate for sunshine, and ended up being a phenomenal experience…
About the ranch
Before we get into all of the delicious details, Let me share with you a bit about Rancho La Puerta’s history. The family-owned and controlled ranch was founded in 1940 by Edmond and Deborah Szekely. While I didn’t get to meet Deborah personally, I’ve heard incredible things about her heart and zest forever! Deborah is currently 93 yrs . old, still lectures in the ranch weekly and functions hard to transform and inspire healthy lifestyles. If you have one minute and wish to learn more regarding the ranch and its history, have a look at this video regarding the ranch narrated by Deborah.
Guests stay typically 4 or 7 days and result from all over the world. This is not a weight reduction resort, but rather a place to see overall health and wellness. You can make your own schedule for your day, and perform as you please, although I’d say that most guests end up working out a minimum of 1x per day. Every day differs though, and you can ensure it is whatever you like.
While much unique of my typical Mexico vacations of taking in tequila and shoving chips in my mouth area, this was still unbelievably beautiful and FUN. Our times consisted of TRX, yoga exercise, and circuit classes, hands-on cooking presentations and classes, a natural farm knowledge, 6am sunrise hikes, and mainly vegetarian-focused food. I LOVED IT.
Now I have no idea approximately you, but personally I’ve trouble sitting on the beach all day long just lounging around. I could do it for one hour roughly, but after that I wish to be doing something active with my body or mind. My ideal holiday involves having new experiences, staying active and eating Great meals. The ranch offered exactly that.
Did I miss having chips and guac? Sure! Nevertheless, I loved just how my brain, body and spirit felt in the ranch. I used to be inspired, well-rested, innovative, relaxed but still active. Would I do it again? YES. In fact, I’d want to bring my Mother and Grandma for any girl’s trip! We pointed out that there were a lot of multi-generational families arriving together.
The rooms & property:
The property is over 3,000 acres, which means you know you’ll get your steps set for your day. Everything can be surrounded by way of a vast selection of gorgeous plants, herbs, blooms and trees and shrubs. It’s basically like stepping onto an oasis in the center of the desert.
Our rooms were huge with company, comfortable mattresses. Our villa acquired a fireplace, deck, and even just a little kitchen. One thing to notice: There isn’t any TV or internet in the rooms, which means you really do need to be in a position to unplug. Numerous lounges around the property offer internet if you really need to check-in.
The food!
All meals are served within the dining hall, but breakfast was always undoubtedly my favorite. I adored the scrambled eggs with salsa, coffee beans, cilantro & onions. In addition they serve corn tortillas, cinnamon oatmeal, the very best muesli EVER, wholegrain bread, refreshing homemade jam, warm water with ginger & lemon, tropical fruits and so much more.
Another perk: You can find always gluten free of charge or vegan choices for those who require it. It was generally fun to see what people would create making use of their breakfasts. 1 day I made breakfast tacos and the next morning I had my cherished peanut butter toast with banana.
Lunch is the same circumstance. Lots of vegetables, protein & clean flavors. And they also will have chia, dietary yeast, flax seed products and several spices and herbal products out. It influenced me to place more spices and herbs on my salads and veggies.
The organic farm:
One evening we were able to head over to La Cocina Que Canta , the ranch’s organic farm to pick out vegetables and herbs for our cooking class meal. The natural herbs were some of the freshest; we picked them straight out of the backyard and sampled once we proceeded to go. I learned that you can actually eat arugula blossoms (and they are Mouth watering). It had been obvious the Ranch and their gardeners do a tremendous job at taking care of their land and soil in order to preserve such flavorful and more fresh vegetables.
This was a genuine highlight from the trip for me personally as you of my dreams is to have my own organic garden. (Actually if you noticed via Snapchat, Tony recently has started our very own indoor organic backyard inside our sunroom!)
Cooking classes:
The Ranch offers wonderful hands-on cooking classes for guests throughout the week and luckily I could attend two of these! Each night the foodstuffs we created were diverse, creative and FLAVORFUL! These were served family style, so we each worked well in teams on a recipe. The dishes themselves mostly on vegetables, legumes and sea food. Triple check!
The first night at the cooking school, Liz and I cooked probably the most great tasting chipotle corn chowder with poblanos, fresh corn, potatoes and a number of spices. I’m certainly hoping to recreate it for you guys just in time for sugary corn season. Keep tuned in!
I will claim that I left the food preparation class feeling inspired with a few new cooking techniques. Including how exactly to create a really rich tasting veggie broth. YAS compared to that.
Fitness classes & hikes:
Of course you know I hit up those fitness classes and hiking (my favorite workout). The very first morning we went on the Professor’s hike, a 3.5 mile loop into the mountain behind the ranch. If you head to the ranch, certainly take time to perform the hikes. They’re the ideal amount of complicated and place you in a good morning mood.
Another hike offered is the organic breakfast hike, where you travel to the cooking school and enjoy a lovely organic breakfast time.
Pools & Juice Pub:
There are plenty of pools across the ranch which are both quiet and relaxing. They also have an AMAZING organic juice bar for when you’re searching for an afternoon pick out me up. Try the beet juice!
Overall, I loved the ranch and recommend it. The masses tends to be a little older and female-based, nevertheless there were plenty of couples and family members. I’m getting excited about heading back one day!

This past weekend was tough! I used to be amid a juice cleanse and could not stop thinking about how much I needed a salad how big is my encounter. Or grilled seafood with a glass of wine accompanied by some Fro Yo with major levels of sprinkles and pink-frosted pet crackers.

Tags :

Then to make matters worse, I watched The Food Network again. They were playing Red Lobster advertisements which nearly triggered me to drool on myself. I guess you could say my cravings had been pretty ridiculous; on the other hand it was most likely my own fault for watching Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
There is good news though: I must say i feel incredible and since I enjoy sharing my discoveries together with you, I journaled my experience with the cleanse. I anticipate posting it sometime this week. Probably it will inspire you, too!
Okay more than enough chatting, may we reach the muffins?
I actually baked these the day before I started juicing and they were completely delicious, moist, and filling up. Plus they’re heart-healthy and I’ve held calories in balance by adding the following:
Applesauce: We replaced the usual oil in the muffins with applesauce, which assists will keep them moist and provides them handful of sweetness with out a lot of added sugars. I absolutely love the texture of these!
Almond Dairy: I love baking with almond dairy because it gives a tiny bit of fat to your muffins without adding calories. It’s also generally wider in persistence vs regular milk and helps to keep muffins moist!
Oatmeal: There’s oatmeal both in and together with the muffin; it gives it an oaty taste and also provides fiber and protein.
Whole Wheat Pastry Flour: We opted to utilize whole wheat pastry flour seeing that it’s a whole lot lighter than regular whole wheat flour. It can help the muffins from turning dense. You can even use regular flour or all-purpose gluten-free!
Cinnamon: Applesauce and cinnamon go with each other perfectly and put great taste! Oh and did you know studies have shown that cinnamon really helps to regular blood sugar levels? Win!
Walnuts: They’re are high in Omega-3 and great fats, thus they’ll help with keeping you total all morning long. Remeber never to be afraid of the nice fats!
Blueberries: An excellent fruit full of antioxidants and absolutely gorgeous in muffins. These are filled with juicy blueberries that burst in the mouth area!
My favorite component (besides the juicy blueberries) may be the walnut-oat streusel; it’s a bit crunchy and sugary. I LOVE that all muffin is only 172 healthy calories and packages 5g of proteins; believe me, they’re filling up! Oh and theses babies will also be freezer-friendly so you can get one, reheat, and proceed!
We ate mine warm and spread with almond butter and a drizzle of honey. Enjoy!

Now, let’s talk about quesadillas.
I love them. Adore them. Salivite over them! Yeah, I’m quite odd but you’re probably okay with that by now if you’re still scanning this.
Quesadillas are a traditional mexican dish that always involves cheese and a savory combination of vegetables and/or meats. They’re among my favorite foods to put together in the last-minute because it entails throwing delicious combinations inside a tortilla and toasting or frying it until crispy and golden brown. Nowadays the original quesadillas have developed into something wonderful: breakfast time (or dessert) quesadillas!
It’s as easy as this: We am obsessed with the peanut butter and banana combo Typically when I’m in a rush I put the duo on an english muffin and barely remember inhaling my breakfast time, but I was getting a little uninterested in that. So instead of the usual, I decided to allow it to be interesting by making peanut butter and banana quesadillas and adding in seasonal, ripe strawberries for sort of PB&J twist.
My mind was IMPRESSED after one bite. In all seriousness, yours must be too.
If you’ve under no circumstances experienced the peanut butter, strawberry, and banana combo-prepare to be amazed!
First of all-the strawberries in the quesadilla! They nearly taste like these were roasted-exploding with flavor and juicyness from heat. It reminds me of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich, except with a fresh, more interesting appeal. The crunch from the tortilla as well as the warm, creamy peanut butter makes me wish I could go back to grade college and
demand
ask nicely because of this in my lunchbox.
When coming up with quesadillas I usually use whole wheat-low carb tortillas because I really like the nutty flavor of them, plus wholegrains keep you fuller, much longer. I would recommend using Joesph’s Tortillas , but any wholegrain tortilla would work well. This also would be an ideal pre or post-workout treat or meal due to the good carbs and healthy fats.
Additionally I HIGHLY recommend trying this for dessert. It’s fairly guilt-free, ideal for writing, and kids will even love them. And they’re vegan, and you also could certainly make them gluten-free through the use of GF tortillas.
The possibilities are endless! Think about it.
Wouldn’t replacing nutella for peanut butter be dreamy? Or simply sprinkling in a few mini chocolate chips? How about dipping them in a warm delicious chocolate sauce?
THAT could be want tasting just a little bite of heaven. But those are just suggestions, feel free to get creative!
Seeing that requested, nutritional details is included.
Just please be aware that after this quesadilla, you may never want to stay for a normal PB&J again. In the event that you try them, be sure to let me know very well what you think.
Peanut Butter, Strawberry, & Banana Quesadillas
Prep time:
5 mins
Cook period:
5 mins
Total period:
10 mins
Ingredients
2 whole grain tortillas
4-5 strawberries, sliced
Instructions
Heat a medium skillet over moderate high temperature and spray skillet with cooking spray.
Pass on 1 tablespoon from the peanut butter evenly over each tortilla. Arrange both the banana and strawberry pieces over one tortilla, sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon, and top with the remaining tortilla, peanut butter part down. Press carefully to help them stick together.
When the skillet is hot, add the quesadilla, flipping once, until golden brown, approximately 2 minutes per side. Cut each quesadilla into halves or quarters.
Serves 2-4.
For any dessert version try adding 1 teaspoon of mini chocolate chips in
Serve with honey, maple syrup, vanilla greek yogurt, or chocolates sauce
Try with different nut butters, nutella or almond butter would be good
The nutritional information below is dependant on utilizing a flour tortilla. Using a low carb, wholegrain tortilla would lower the calorie consumption and carb count number. It would can also increase the fiber.
awesome blog.. having a great time heading thru it!!!

Chewy Dark Chocolate Cherry Proteins Granola Pubs with Chia Seeds

Tags :

Chewy protein-packed granola bars made with almond butter, protein powder, dark chocolate and cherries! These gluten-free and vegan-friendly pubs are the ideal snack or breakfast time.
Did I let you know that Sundays are a big day for me personally? Usually I wake up, hit the gym, then head straight to the supermarket. From then on I go back home and make until my kitchen can be trashed and I cannot possibly dirty another dish. It’s kind of my small ritual.
Needless to say Sundays may also be big because I’m determined to start out the week from a good note. If you ask me, being healthy is really a big section of this. I forget the incredibly delicious carrot wedding cake cupcake I ate last week while i was pressured and remind myself that this week is completely new and filled with healthy opportunities.
To encourage healthy taking in, I chop up celery, cucumbers and carrots for nibbling throughout the day, but sometimes I need something a bit more satisfying. THEREFORE I decided to make ridiculously good granola bars. With protein natural powder to help keep me full.
I’m actually an enormous fan of several brands of proteins and/or granola bars. The chewy types, the nutty types, the extra crunchy types. Heck, just give me ALL THE BARS.
These are made with oats, puffed millet (or dark brown rice crisps), and vanilla proteins powder. Gleam hint of crunchy almond taste through the nut butter. Mmmmm, you understand how I really like my nut buttas!
To sweeten the pubs, I opted to use a little bit of maple syrup, but honey or agave would also function. The cherries and delicious chocolate add antioxidants as well as the chia seed products add fiber, omega-3s and an incredible little crunch. CHOMP CHOMP.
To help keep these bars chewy, I suggest using quick oats. If you don’t possess quick oats obtainable, you can pulse oats within the blender or food processor for 30 seconds.
You men won’t believe how filling these pubs are either! They will have 8g of protein and nearly 4g of fibers. I love eating them for breakfast time when I’m on the go, before a workout, or as a snack.
If you make sure they are (or anything from AK), label your photos on Instagram #ambitiouskitchen. I really like seeing everything you guys create!
xoxo!
Prep time:
10 mins
Cook period:
15 mins
Total time:
25 mins
Ingredients
1/3 cup organic chunky or creamy almond butter (or peanut butter)
1/4 cup real maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon ocean salt
1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/3 cup dried cherries, chopped
2.5 ounces dark chocolate bar, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1/4 teaspoon coconut oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 300 levels F. Line 8×8 inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper and spray with nonstick food preparation spray.
In a big dish, combine almond butter, maple syrup and vanilla until smooth and well combined. Stir in oats, millet, sodium and protein powder until well-coated, heavy, and sticky. Add in almond milk and stir once again. Flip in cherries, 1/4 cup of chopped delicious chocolate, and chia seed products. (You’ll utilize the rest of the chocolates for the drizzle.)
Pour blend into prepared skillet and use a spatula to equally spread. Next you need to make use of your hand to press the blend down VERY firmly. This will ensure that the pubs stick together well. Bake for 15-18 mins. Cool on cable rack for 10 minutes.
To make chocolate drizzle: melt chocolates and coconut essential oil in a small saucepan over suprisingly low temperature. Stir until simple. Drizzle the chocolates over the bars, then refrigerate for thirty minutes so that delicious chocolate can harden. Cut into 10 pubs. You can even keep them at space temperature or individually wrap & freeze. Enjoy!
If you want to lessen the calorie consumption and/or sugar, then you have several options: You can use PB2 and sugar free maple syrup. I’ve actually tried it this way and they come out fairly darn tasty! If you use sugars free of charge maple syrup, each bar only has around 5g of sugars.
Feel free to use your favorite nut butter in place of the almond butter.
Instead of pure maple syrup, you should use sugar totally free maple syrup, honey, or agave. Please be aware that honey isn’t vegan.
If you do not get access to puffed millet, then free absolve to substitute brown rice crisps, puffed grain, regular rice krispies, quinoa, or even chex. I came across my puffed millet in the cereal section at Whole Foods.
If you’re trying to create these vegan or gluten free, make sure that all of your ingredients fall into your respective eating guidelines. For instance, make certain the chocolates is vegan.
You can sub any dried fruit you’d like. Also experience free to give a handful of chopped nuts, coconut, or more chocolate!

If there’s one thing I learned about myself within my health and fitness journey, it’s that I absolutely will need to have snack foods (like these peanut butter energy bites) available or I become an uncontrollable raging hypoglycemia animal. Believe Tom Cruise mixed with a wolverine. Very scary stuff.

1 year agoEver since I’ve been little, my blood sugar is definitely on a rigid 3-hour dive routine. Such as, I’m the sort of person who has to have something to consume every few hours or I’ll crash. My mother says that whenever she brought me someplace, she always experienced to make sure that she acquired meals with her otherwise I’d ruin the day and toss a in shape. Terrible, right?
But it’s true! WHILE I obtain hungry, I cannot think, make decisions as well as pretend to maintain a good mood. I’ve seen the doctor a few times about any of it and apparently that’s just the way my body is. Wacky.
Needless to say, it I’m working from home it’s pretty easy to grab snacks, but several times I’ve been in circumstances where I was far from both home and food (particularly when traveling). To avoid a meltdown into hunger oblivion, I started creating my very own small energy bites and path mixes to create beside me anywhere I proceeded to go. Not merely are they a lifestyle saver, however they also help me make better food options (instead of reaching for processed foods).
These wonderful energy bites are my most recent creation and packed with some of the best things: peanut butter, coconut, flaxseed, chia seed and even a little chocolate. I’ve also produced them with almond butter, but everyone understands peanut butter reigns ruler on Ambitious Kitchen.

Bonus factors: They’re freezer friendly. YAS.

Prep period:
5 mins
Total time:
5 mins
Ingredients
1/4 cup coconut palm syrup (honey also works)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup flaxseed meal
1/2 cup rolled oats (gluten free of charge, if desired)
2 tablespoons mini chocolates chips (vegan, if desired)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix collectively peanut butter, coconut hand syrup and vanilla extract until well combined. Add in protein powder, coconut, flaxseed food, oats, chocolate potato chips and chia seed products. Combine until well combined. I usually have to make use of my hands to combine and use the dough. You now can type balls that stick collectively. Because all peanut butter/nut butter consistencies are different and depending on what proteins powder you utilize, you may want to add in more nut butter or sweetener to help the balls stay together.
Form into 14 balls and place within an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to a week, or the fridge for per month. Enjoy!
For the proteins powder, I normally use Aloha’s Vanilla proteins powder (vegan). Bob’s Red Mill unflavored Whey proteins powder is also great. Unless you have any protein powder, these balls should be just fine without it too, although you may have to add more oats.
For the nut butter: I used an all-natural drippy peanut butter with only peanuts and salt. The organic kind without additives is most beneficial for this formula.
This recipe can be made nut free by using sunflower seed butter and nut free chocolate chips.

Personally i think you girl. When the hanger begins, everybody better look the f out. I’m a company believer in usually having balls on hand.
I also go through that maintaining your blood sugar steady helps balance your hormones, making it easier to shed weight and function like a normal human being. So eating delicious bites like these is really a win-win scenario!.
