I needed something delivered to my door yesterday that was pretty wonderful.
If you follow me on Instagram , you may have seen it.
Last month, I had the opportunity to visit Seattle, Washington for the International Meals Blogger Conference (IFBC) If you’re a food blogger, that is definitely a conference to think about attending. Next year they’re shifting it to Sacramento, CA.
The night before the conference started I was fortunate enough to wait a farm to fork dinner distributed by Stemilt Growers, LLC at the stunning Beecher’s Loft within the Pike Place Marketplace. The sights of the market, water and mountains off in the distance were stunning!
A view from the water, great food, great conversation between farmers and bloggers, what more would you ask for?
Fruit from Stemilt was incorporated into every course of our meal by Chef Erica Burke of the Volunteer Park Cafe She combined the fruit so beautifully with each and my favorite was definitely the Roasted Butternut and Bartlett Pear Bisque. I could have eaten that all night!
During dinner we were able to hear about the farm, how it started, what they’re currently performing and where they’re headed. They not only develop delicious apples, but pears and cherries aswell. Be sure to be on the lookout for them on your own next visit to your favorite supermarket and if they don’t carry them, mention them to the supervisor and who understands, maybe you’ll shortly be eating them!

My boy walked in to the kitchen after work and asked, the type of cookies are these?”.
Without hesitation my daughter answered, delicious!”. haha
