This yummy little DIY cannot have come at a better time. It’s been Hot using a capital H this week in L.A.-and apparently in Texas too, where this Apryl Ann Photography and Cakewalk Bake Store tutorial involves us from. But for the plus aspect, rising temps certainly are a great excuse to make relaxing treats for close friends and family-and nothing at all fits the bill much better than an icy-cold popsicle, the best throwback summer treat. Read on for all the deets on how to make these grownup glaciers pops, flavored with green tea extract and fresh herbal products. They’re every bit as refreshing as whatever you ever taken out of the grandma’s freezer, but a whole lot prettier too…
Ingredients/Products:
– 2-3 3 cups green tea, room temperature
– 1 cup simple syrup (to make your own basic syrup, combine one part sugars with one part water in a little saucepan; bring to a boil and let cool.)
– a handful of fresh mint
– fresh edible blooms (as many as you like; available at specialty grocers)
– pop molds (this mildew was purchased on Amazon at under $20)
– Popsicle sticks
Fun Variants:
– Insert almonds for crunch.
– Use red lemonade to include a little extra color.
Yum! These would be the ideal refreshing treat for the summer wedding shower, don’t you think?
I’m very keen on your website, and follow-up. Thanks…
These sound and appearance amazing!
They are the prettiest popsicles ever. The edible plants just look amazing.
I’m so going to try it! It’ll be hard to find edible blooms, but the rest is piece of cake! Thanks for posting! I’m pinning this for later! 🙂
Therefore colorful and looks Yummy!!
In the event that you add vodka it won’t freeze, will it?
This is such a great project and Apryl Ann captured it beautifully, as always! Thank you a lot for writing, 100LC! Love like love your blog! Per Angela’s q – it is possible to find edible plants with various other boxed/fresh natural herbs in finer grocer shops. Not sure what your location is located, but in TX I could always find them on the HEB Central Market and sometimes Whole Foods. Vodka does not freeze unless using a area of expertise refrigerator or liquid nitrogen, but there are several fun creative methods to serve with alcohol – placing each pop in a glass or glass with champagne or vodka is normally a straightforward, fun approach. Cheers, y’all!
Oh my this looks amazing 🙂 my mouth area watered when I noticed it 🙂
This is exactly what I must say i call an original Popsicle for summer, I’d make a dozen and eat them all!
